Kia offers a 2.5-liter inline-four engine under the hood of the 2023 Sorento base trim levels. It produces an efficient power of 191 hp on the standard front-wheel-drive system. For drivers who’d like to experience more thrill behind the wheel, a turbocharged 2.5-liter is available that boosts the power output to a whopping 281 hp. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard for both engines. When properly equipped, the 2023 Kia Sorento can tow a maximum load of 3,500 lbs.
